Materials – 1.Computer Story 2.We Use Computers Standards aligned to this lesson – 8.1.4.A.1, 8.1.4.A.2, 8.1.4.B.1, 8.1.8.A.1 Vocabulary – Computer, data, program, programmer, machine Activities – 1.Read and discuss story 2.Class will discuss computers in the classroom, school, and their daily lives. 3.We Use Computers activity sheet. Assessment – Observation and activity sheet results Differentiation – 1.Auditory and visual review of vocabulary, with kinesthetic Simon Says activity 2.Each student will have a copy of the story to follow along. 3.Story will be on screen via digital camera to aid in following along. 4.Story will be read aloud to class. 5.Cut, color, and paste activity will reinforce vocabulary.
